PortraitPro has built-in support for reading RAW files (Studio & StudioMax editions only). However, some newer camera RAW files are not supported by this reader.

To address this, PortraitPro is now able to automatically use a free Adobe tool that can convert the RAW files to a format that PortraitPro can read.

Download the free Adobe DNG Converter.

Once you have downloaded and installed this Adobe tool, follow these steps to enable it:

• Select the menu command File > Settings on Windows, or Preferences on Mac to bring up the Settings dialog.
• Select the RAW tab.
• Make sure the Use DNG Converter to read RAW images checkbox is checked.
• Make sure the status under the path to the tool is green and says Path OK. If the path cannot be found, this could be because you have not yet installed the Adobe DNG Converter tool, or you didn't install it to the standard location. If necessary, click the Browse button and find the Adobe DNG Converter on your system.
